Dani grew up in Australia, working through a variety of media and marketing related roles, before landing in the UK in 2018. Dani brings her wealth of experience to True where she leads on the marketing and brand activities, as well as conjuring up amazing events across True House to bring the community together.
I love the world of entrepreneurship & innovation. I joined to use my media/global brand experience & the full scope of marketing to support the brands and founders of the future, and to find ways to improve access to the investment industry.
I get to tell stories and create experiences that connect people and make others want to get involved.
I love the variety and the interesting people I get to work with. I don’t love that I can’t say yes to everything (even though I usually want to!)
Canva – an incredible business idea that makes design accessible and empowers all kinds of people, brands, companies, charities etc to level up on their brand outputs. It’s one of the few unicorn start-ups that are actually profitable, with strong moral values who direct a lot of profits toward charitable efforts globally. As an expat, I love to see Aussie brands paving the way!
I’ve been lucky to have colleagues that I’ve worked with along the way who have encouraged me by sharing new opportunities or supporting new routes I’ve wanted to explore. And of course, my mum - she taught me the importance of continuous education, hard work, and the power of a pivot (she has enjoyed three very different career paths whilst also being a working mother).
Danielle’s expertise at True:
Dani leads on all things marketing, from creating engaging, educational (and fun) events and workshops at True House to meaningful partnerships as well as all things internal and external comms.
Did you know that 80% of consumer spending is done by women (a total of $20 trillion) and yet only 2% of all VC Capital is in all-women led businesses. These numbers shed a disappointing light on the industry - and business landscape more broadly - and so we invited the brilliant women of our community to discuss topics such as this on International Women's Day in a panel hosted at True House.
