The consumer industries are so fundamentally important to the economy. We all feel the benefits of wealth effects and struggle with the knocks to consumer confidence. As a pure consumer and retail investor, True invests 100% of its time, energy and capital behind amazing businesses that impact us daily — not just commercially but also socially, environmentally, and emotionally. It’s great to be part of a growing business that cares about its people and empowers them to take opportunities. I’m excited about the future!
Thinking deeply about cool stuff for today and tomorrow’s tomorrow.
Two things I love that stand out: I get to talk to thoughtful people with a clear vision for the future on a daily basis; and when the pieces suddenly fall into place after grappling with a complex industry, business model or problem. What I dislike the most: days gridlocked in back-to-back-to-back meetings.
For a non-web 2.0 company it would be LVMH; otherwise take your pick of any of the internet scale businesses.
