Vikesh was born and raised in the Midlands — in Rugby, the town where the sport was invented. He joined True from the Tungsten Network, where he was head of FP&A, managing teams in both London and Kuala Lumpur. Prior to this, Vikesh worked at Zeal Network SE, the German tech business that specialised in lottery products, and qualified as an accountant in 2015. When not working, he’s the (self-professed) King of Gifs.

Why did you choose True?
True has a clear set of values that resonate with me.
How would you describe your job to a five-year-old?
I make it so that the folks at True can do their amazing job by making sure we have money and don’t get told off (compliance and risk) :-)
What do you love most — and least — about your job?
I love the scope and breadth of the role. One minute I’m involved in finance work, the next something completely different. That keeps you on your toes. Hate — sometimes it’s insanely busy, but this is also a potential upside for me as, I love it when a big project gets completed.
Name an idea or company that reimagined a business or industry — one you wish you’d thought of.
Amazon — hard not to argue how pervasive it is in all of our lives, and how it has shaped consumer behaviour.
Which person or people helped shape and inspire who you are today?
My grandparents, who came to the UK with next to nothing, and enabled the platform for my generation to have a chance to succeed.
