Vikesh was born and raised in the Midlands — in Rugby, the town where the sport was invented. He joined True from the Tungsten Network, where he was head of FP&A, managing teams in both London and Kuala Lumpur. Prior to this, Vikesh worked at Zeal Network SE, the German tech business that specialised in lottery products, and qualified as an accountant in 2015. When not working, he’s the (self-professed) King of Gifs.
True has a clear set of values that resonate with me.
I make it so that the folks at True can do their amazing job by making sure we have money and don’t get told off (compliance and risk) :-)
I love the scope and breadth of the role. One minute I’m involved in finance work, the next something completely different. That keeps you on your toes. Hate — sometimes it’s insanely busy, but this is also a potential upside for me as, I love it when a big project gets completed.
Amazon — hard not to argue how pervasive it is in all of our lives, and how it has shaped consumer behaviour.
My grandparents, who came to the UK with next to nothing, and enabled the platform for my generation to have a chance to succeed.
Vikesh’s expertise at True:
Vikesh is one of True’s bookkeepers and has a hand in finance, fund operations and budgets for True House and the Marketing Team.
Consumer specialists True scale their investment and innovation firm to more than £600m AUM in just five years – with the Covid downturn proving to be no barrier to performance.
True has completed the first close for its new seed stage fund, which covers pre-seed to Series A. We’ll be investing up to £5m in exciting, innovative brands that are stretching the possibilities of digital and changing the retail and consumer landscape.
