As we shared when we announced our partnership with the British Retail Consortium, we've expanded our innovation offering to include a new proposition - Amplify. This post is to delve a bit deeper into why we created it and what exactly it is.
It is designed to democratise access to innovation advisory for growing consumer businesses (£15m+ revenue yearly). This proposition is intrinsically linked to our broader Innovation mission to help consumer businesses find technology that works and to ultimately be future-enabled.
We have reduced barriers to entry by using a performance-based fee model to minimise upfront costs - we get paid when our Partners realise value. It is a purposefully designed low-touch engagement model, focused on the implementation of technologies that drive genuine ROI. All based on an understanding of your business.
When designing this new proposition, we had three key challenges in mind to solve:
Selecting the right technology vendor can be a source of competitive advantage for consumer businesses, but making the right decision with so much choice available is becoming increasingly tough.
The current trading and investment landscapes have intensified the need for every single £ of spend to provide a high return-on-investment.
Traditional methods of sourcing technology vendors are unscalable, expensive, and represent a sunk cost that may never produce results.
We know which technologies drive the greatest impact because we implement them in our own portfolio of brands as well as some of the industries most recognised retailers and brands.
From our annual flow of 3,500+ startups and scaleups, we understand which are those that will provide outsized value to the consumer businesses in our network.
We want to democratise access to technology innovation. Traditional consulting models have high barriers to entry and inflexible engagement models. At the heart of Amplify is the desire to open up access to more and more consumer businesses. If you are a consumer business with £15m+ revenue yearly, then this is for you.
